LOWELL -- William David Quinn, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016. He was 84 years old.

William was born in Arlington on May 11, 1932, a son of the late William Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Woods) Quinn. Bill was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception Grammar School. He attended Keith Academy and graduated from Lowell High School.

Bill led an exciting life and career in the Hotel and Entertainment Industry. For many years he was employed in Resorts Management positions in places like Asbury Park (NJ), Las Vegas, and Miami.

Bill was an avid lover of music, especially Jazz. He enjoyed betting on the horses and the excitement of the racetrack. He was a fantastic story teller, and could entertain you for hours recounting real life stories of people and places he came to know. Bill lived in East Boston for many years, yet he came to Lowell often to get together with family and old friends. In his younger years, he was voted best dressed and the best dancer at Lowell High School. He was an accomplished Ballroom Dancer and a World Class Pool Player.

Bill is survived by his sister, Genevieve L. Silva of Lowell; his nieces and nephews, Ralph, Patricia, Linda, Scott, Michael, and Michelle Silva; many great-nieces and nephews including Christine E. Maurais of Lowell. Bill also leaves behind many, many great friends. Bill was the brother of the late Constance T. "Connie" Faso and uncle of the late Mary Beth Maurais.

QUINN -- In Lowell, December 2, 2016, William D. Quinn, 84, a longtime Lowell resident. It being his wish, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to his FUNERAL MASS on FRIDAY MORNING, Dec. 9, 2016 at 10 o'clock at THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 144 East Merrimack St. Lowell. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Patrick's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Building Fund, 3 Fayette St., Lowell, MA 01852.
