Floyd A. LaBarre FRANKFORD, DE Floyd A. LaBarre, 89, of Frankford, DE, and formerly of Mt. Bethel, PA passed away Tuesday, July 20th, at his residence. Floyd was born in Mt. Bethel, PA on August 13, 1931, a son of the late Walter and Reba (Shook) LaBarre. He was the husband of Faye A. (Pensyl) LaBarre. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last October. Floyd was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Union Local 542 in Philadelphia, PA, until retiring. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Floyd was a recipient of the Purple Heart and served as the honor guard for Ernie Pyle. Floyd was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Stroudsburg, PA, where he was a Keepers Men's group member. In addition to his loving wife Faye, Floyd is survived by a daughter, Gail Stevens, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Kevin LaBarre.
