Mark R. Pysher SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP Mark R. Pysher, 66, of Smithfield Township, died Sunday evening, July 18, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital -Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was the husband of Mary E. (Hamblin) Pysher with whom he shared 43 years of marriage. Born on August 26, 1954, in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Richard and Charlotte (Horne) Pysher and was a lifetime resident of Monroe and Northampton Counties. He was a graduate of Bangor High School and in earlier years worked on his grandfather's and uncle's farm, delivered milk for Paul Vogh's Dairy Farm, and worked for Ingersall Rand, Ray Hartman and Sons, Fred May Excavating and at a machine shop in Sterling. For the last 35 3/4 years he worked for Stroud Township Road Department. Mark was a volunteer fireman with the Marshalls Creek Fire Company for 20 years and a former East Stroudsburg Band Parent. In addition to his wife, surviving are three children, Joshua Pysher and wife Sandy of Cherry Valley, Sarah Schindler and husband Bob of Bangor and Zachary Pysher and wife Carrie of Bangor; four grandchildren, Luke Schindler, Isabella Haley, Austin Schindler and Harrison Pysher; a brother, Jody Pysher and wife Melanie of Bangor; a sister, Joy Miller and husband Fred of Charlotte, NC; and nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday, July 24, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with visitation beginning at 1 PM followed by a prayer service at 2PM with Monsignor John Bergamo officiating. Cremation was private.
