I was shocked and saddened to read just today of Dr. Sallash's passing. He has been my doctor for 30 years. He always listened to my concerns, and calmed my worries. He had a great sense of humor and we always laughed in the exam room. He will be sorely missed and impossible to replace. My condolences to his family. RIP, Dr. Sallash.

My sympathy goes out to Dr. Sallash's family. I worked in the OB/GYN Residency Program in the past and Dr. Sallash was a wonderful physician and teacher to the Residents in OB/GYN. I am sorry I just saw this today. I would have attended his service if I saw this notice sooner. May he RIP. Irma Foschi-Unger

Sadly, I can´t believe that this kind doctor & family man is gone, but he will never be forgotten. As a student nurse at St. Luke´s, I can remember him as a resident having dinner with his wife & 3 "little" girls (Rob & Gretchen came later). Since then, Dr. Sallash has been my OB/GYN Doctor for over 50 years... delivering our first born daughter, who turned 50 this past July, & our son, who is also a compassionate doctor. Our son, Dr. John remembers Dr. Sallash attempting to convince him to join his residency when they met one time after my annual appt. Annual exams are never fun, but I always looked forward to seeing my buddy, who always took the time to look at the picture album of my family that I would bring along. So, it is would a heavy heart that I must say that the world has lost a very dedicated doctor who will be dearly missed. Rest In Peace my dear doctor & friend.

I send my deepest sympathy to the family of this very kind man. My son, who is now nearing 50 years old was as yet unborn when Dr. Salas was one of my three doctors. My favorite memory was when he listened to the heartbeat and told me it was a boy! Then he smiled and said "I have several girls at home so I can say that." He was right. It was my first and last baby so I was very scared and he was always reassuring. GodSpeed Dr. Sallash And enjoy your mansion in heaven.

Carla and family , my sympathy to each of you. Dr Sallash was my Dr. for over 50 years. We shared so many family stories, it was a visit with an old friend each time. This March, after my biopsy, he called me with results so I would not read them on the portal and followed up with a check up call. He was an amazing person and caring Dr. I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace my friend.

First I like to say I am so sorry for your loss. I met Dr. Sallash when I was 16 years old. I started out with Dr. sketches. He scared me and a nurse suggested I try Dr. Sallash. And he talked so soft and didn´t make me uncomfortable. I use to tease him and ask if he wanted to adopt me! I have seen him with a bunch of little kids having ice cream at the Cup! My dad left when I was born and I saw he was with the kids and I always saw how people like him because he knew what us women go through and believes us. He was sweet and always joking! A great guy was taken from a lot of people not only the family. I feel for all. But know he loved you and I´m sure he´s watching over his children and grandkids. He loved them so much. You could tell how his eye lite up. Going to miss you. But I´m sure you up there talking to Dr. Sketches.God bless you. Our hearts are with you.
