PALMER TOWNSHIP Vincent J. Civitella, 81, of Palmer Township, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, in Alexandria Manor, Nazareth. Born June 20, 1940, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph Civitella and Teresa (Tramutola) Civitella-Amadio. He and his wife, Rachel A. (Elias) Civitella, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on April 18, 2021. Vincent graduated from Easton High School Class of 1958. He served with the US Army, Army Reserves and Naval Reserves. He retired from J.T. Baker Chemical where he worked for 18 years. Years ago, he was a baker at Leone's Bakery. Vincent loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and casinos and was an avid Eagles fan. He was of the Catholic faith. Surviving in addition to his wife, Rachel, is a daughter, Rebecca Lombardo and her husband Jack, of Williams Township; two brothers, Anthony Civitella, of Easton and Carl Civitella and his wife Arlene, of Hellertown; two sisters, Jessie Piscitello, of Nazareth and Victoria Corpora and her husband Pat, of Palmer Township; a brother-in-law, Lester Walters, of Easton; three grandchildren, Rachel Pappas and her husband Greg, of Easton and Maggie and Joey Jabeir, both of Williams Township; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Joseph Jabeir; brothers, Joseph and Louis Civitella and an infant brother, Francesco Barbone and a sister, Diana Barbone. A memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Thursday 10-11am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
