Great Uncle Bernard was an example to me (and my husband and sons) of the joy of living that lasts when one never retires from serving God, but instead remains active, willng to serve, and unafraid to interact with people of all ages. We will miss him and wish God's blessings and comfort to his family.

Uncle Bernie and Aunt Ella must be enjoying a lovely reunion. I can just imagine the joyous family celebrations that are going on. It certainly was good to have known Aunt Ella and Uncle Bernie. I'll treasure my memories of them. Prayers and best wishes go with Lowell, Louise, and their families as they return to their homes.

Uncle Bernard managed to be both dignified and fun in his ministry. The effective joy of his faith impressed me -- and he is remembered fondly for his ministry by Bridgewater College graduates of the 1950's in our congregation.

Uncle Bernard knew how to live a good, long life. He added to the joy of gatherings with his wit and friendly laugh. He sent us Christmas greetings with the usual exclamation points this year, making us feel his warmth. We will miss him at the King family reunions. Curt and I send our sympathy to Louise and Lowell and your families.

Love, Karen

Cousin Bernard King was a wonderfully warm, gentle and godly man. It was always a pleasure to be in his company. Clyde and I will miss him as will all who are part of the King family. Our annual King Reunion will not be the same without him.
