Carole Roberson

EAST BERLIN Carole "Fritzi" (Miller) Roberson departed this world Friday, December 2, 2011 from her beloved second home in Ajijic, Mexico. She had been a long-time resident of Buffalo Ridge Farm in the hills outside East Berlin. Born in 1941 in Chicago, Ill., and was raised in Gobles, Mich., she was a Graduate of Western Michigan and Shippensburg Universities. Carole relocated to York/Adams County in the late 1960s and was a longtime member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Abbottstown. She'll be remembered as an astute business woman, a rabid historian, a fascinating hostess, and a boundlesscreative. She loved her family, history, antiques, horses, the arts and good gossip. Her regular emails to family were often unintentionally hilarious as her typing was spotty and her typos were legendary. Regardless, Carole wrote short stories and was working on a screenplay. She was a difficult mother and a horrendous mother-in-law. She will STILL be missed. Carole is survived by her children, Marc (Lynne Ann) of Venetia, Amy (Jeff Beck) of Melbourne Beach, Fla., Brad (Jaya Sharma) of West Chester, Eva (Christopher Rupp), of N.Y., and Sarah (JebAnderson) of East Berlin; 12 grandchildren; sister, Virginia "Bunny"Guilfoil of Allegan, Mich.; a niece and two nephews. A memorial service will be held in the coming months.
