Norman Kline Obituary

SPRING GROVE Norman T. Kline, 80, passed peacefully Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, York. He was the loving husband of Nellie M. (Rodgers) Kline for 63 years. Born April 12, 1931, in Hanover, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Roxie and Daniel Graybill. Norman was a lifelong farmer, which included poultry, dairy, and hog farming in Brodbecks and watermelon crops in South Carolina. He was also a Purina Feed dealer in York Co. for many years. He enjoyed raising his pet peacocks and buffalo and going to tractor and farm equipment shows. In his later years he spent lots of time fishing on lakes in South Carolina. In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by four children, Robert Kline and his wife, Shirley of Spring Grove, Ken Kline and his wife, Jeanne of Ruckersville, Va., Thomas Kline and his wife, Donna of Wildwood, Fla., and Linda Laurey of Barnwell, S.C.; siblings, James Kline of Florida, Shirley Richards of North Carolina, John Kline of Abbottstown, Dave Graybill of Hanover, and Shirley Amspacher of Hanover; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Norman was preceded in death by a son, Jerry L. Kline, who died August 31, 1972. A service to celebrate the life of Norman Kline will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with Pastor Garry Wilt officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.
