Canisteo - Dorothy Lee (Stewart) Roe, 88, of 20 West Main St., Canisteo passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the home of her loving son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Patti Roe, in Eustis, Fla. after an extended illness, just short of her 89th birthday.
Dorothy, or as she was known to friends and family, "DL", was born on September 8, 1931 in Hornell to the late Dr. and Mrs. Harold and Genevieve Stewart (Mike and Peg).
Terry and Jon Roe invite any interested friends and family to a memorial service as we finally are able to inter Dorothy next to her loving husband, Roy, at the Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo NY. The service and burial will begin at 11 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Roe Family gravesite at Hillside Cemetery. Terry and Jon invite those interested and available to join them right after the service at Somers Hall next to the Presbyterian Church for some light refreshments and a chance to reminisce about Dorothy's long and interesting life here in the Canisteo River Valley.

PD an I loved DL very much, and are very sad that we can't be up north to attend her service. I've so missed hearing her voice and seeing her smile. Many thoughts and prayers for all.

We have so many happy memories of DL and a visit home without seeing her just isn´t the same. She is greatly missed by so many. She always had a smile for everyone. May she Rest In Peace and may those who loved her find comfort in their memories of her and the love she shared. She is in our hearts always.
