Zane Warren Fairbrother
Zane Warren Fairbrother passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the age of 64.
Zane is predeceased by his father, Warren Fairbrother, and his mother, Arlene Kinney.
He is survived by life partner and best friend, Susan Daniels of Cohocton.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Sandra Atkins (Phil); three daughters, Amanda Fairbrother Casteel (Johnny), Allison Gala (Michael), Alexis Frazier (Garrett), and their mother, Gay Fairbrother; stepdaughter Janelle Koson (Nate), stepson JP Mummey; and 9 grandchildren, John Patrick, Eve, Charlotte, Anthony, Juliana, Marilyn, Maverick, Jaxson, and Chase. He will be missed by countless other friends and family.
Zane was born in Hornell, NY on November 29, 1956. After high school, he served in the Marines from 1974-1976. He then owned and operated Zane's Weatherization in Steuben County for over 35 years. He retired to pursue his love for buying and selling antiques. Zane and Susan enjoyed rides on the Cohocton River, time spent in nature, and searching for treasure everywhere they went. Zane was known for his work ethic but he sure knew how to have a good time.
The military service will be held at a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zane's name to Huddle for Hunger through the Buffalo Bills.
