Adeline Gayle Stanart

Adeline Gayle (Mauk) Stanart, 86, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at her home in Nowata, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family. Funeral services for Adeline will be held at the First Baptist Church, 433 North Mississippi in Nowata, Oklahoma, under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home of Nowata, with Roy and Ella Stout of Childers Community Church officiating. Services will be on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 1:00. She will be laid to rest in the Ketchum Winganon Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Nowata, Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
She was born August 22, 1930, at Kildare, Oklahoma to Erick and Eva Gayle (Smith) Mauk. She was predeceased by her parents, and her seven sisters, Florence Evelyn Beard, Caroline Glenna Steyer, Juanita Dorothy Beaupre, Myrtle May Fortune, Margery Irene Pendergraft, Alvena Bell Smith, and Hazel Katrina Hodges; and two brothers, Louis James Mauk and Alvin Daniel Mauk; and one great, great grandson, Clyde Haris Link.
She attended school during her elementary years East of Nowara at the Lee Square School and then later graduated high school at Childers, Oklahoma. She married Haris Lee (H.L.) Stanart on February 3, 1948, at Fort Smith, Arkansas. She worked alongside her husband in the potato fields of TwinFalls, Idaho, when he hauled grain and hay, picked pecans in the (old) Alluwe bottoms, running the Apco filling station in (New) Alluwe, Oklahoma, raising cattle on their farm, raising a large garden, canning all sorts of fruits and vegetables, and loves doing craft work and cooking for their family. She always decorated for every holiday and loved having parties and big get togethers for family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Judy Gail Griffin, Patricia Y. Barnes and her husband, Terry; by five grandchildren, Randy Carter and Jennifer, Rusty Carter and Charee, Misty Lewis, Justin Barnes and Jodie, and Tashena Witty and Paul; by fifteen great grandchildren, Amber Renfroe, Randall and Darrell Carter, Courtney and Brandon Carter, Nicholas Duncan, Ty and Chesnee McGovern, Dylan Link and Levi Lewis, Evan, Kamron, and Bowde Barnes, Lexi and Kalle Witty, Madison and Allysa Barnes; and eleven great, great-grandchildren; one brother Calvin Burnworth Mauk of Farmington, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
