Robert Resnick

April 9, 2012

My favorite memories of dad were of his straight, military march as he walked home from work down our street. That meant dinner was almost ready. Dad standing along the fence down our dugout's foul line, imploring me as I pitched to "throw it over the top, Robert!!". And my favorite is any of the hundreds of times we teed it up at Sunset, either with his regular golf group or just him and me playing the game we both love dearly. It was a gift he gave me that I'll cherish for a lifetime, just as he did. We'll do it again someday, while we praise the Saviour that made life after death possible. Love you Dad!!!

Alex Resnick was a wonderful dad. Many memories are stirred when a loved one leaves us for eternity. I remember the comfort dad gave to this grieving little boy when my first dog, lady, was struck and killed by a car. I remember going down to a field near our home where dad would hit golf balls with a pitching wedge and I would try and catch them with my baseball glove. Don't think I had to move much to make the catch or drop. I remember in high school when dad argued my case before the judge as to why I should not be found guilty due to weather conditions for a rear ender. The judge agreed with him and I was so proud of dad, not to memtion greatly relieved. Will miss you dad but know because of our faith in Christ our Lord we will be reunited again in heaven.

He was the best grandpa a child could have. He and grandma made a home of unconditional and abounding love.

Alex was a golfing buddy of my fathers for many years at Sunset. I became acquainted with him due to that and our mutual time spent at the wellness center. I'm sure dad would have shed a tear at Alex's passing as I am now.
