Buddy Formby Obituary

Buddy Lee Formby, age 55 and resident of Washington County passed away December 14, 2015 at Hill Crest Hospital in Tulsa.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Formby of the First Baptist Church in Hominy officiating. Cremation and services will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory
Buddy Lee Formby was born on January 20, 1960 in Kingsville, Texas. He is the son of Navy Lt Cmdr. (retired) Roy and Mary (Morgan) Formby. He is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School in Meridian Mississippi. While in high school he was member of Who's Who, Boys State, Lettered in Baseball and Football and served as Company Cmdr of the NJROTC. He was a member of the Order of Arrow and achieved Eagle Scout in 1974 in Meridian, Ms. He was a former member of the Caney Valley School Board.
Buddy loved the outdoors – enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and attending OU Football Games.
He is survived by his parents Roy and Mary Formby, sisters, Marcella Carney and Lori Evans of Toomsuba, MS, a brother Lewis Formby of Palm Springs, CA. 7 Nieces and Nephews, 10 Great-Nieces and Nephews, a daughter and a grandson Adien. Numerous Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and lifelong friends.
He is proceeded in death by a sister, Carol Formby, Grand Parents SP and Cora Morgan, Elmer and Lucille Formby and Marrie Bendale. In lieu of flowers the family request that you make a donation in his honor to the scholarship fund at Caney Valley High at PO Box 39 Ramona, OK 74061.

I only knew Bud for a short time. He was a very likeable person. He was a hard worker, and good family man. I am sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family, and friends. Especially to Gennifer. She still holds a fond, warm place in our family's hearts.
