James Conditt Obituary

Mr. James Larry Conditt, 66, retired Bartlesville Firefighter, died at 2:21 A. M. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at the Northpoint Assembly of God Church in Dewey with Pastor Doyle Brummett officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the James H. Teel American Legion Post # 105 and funeral services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Friends who wish may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Wednesday until 8 PM, Thursday from 9 AM till 8 PM and Friday from 9 AM till 11:30 A.M.
The family requests donation in Mr. Conditt's memory to the American Cancer Society, 4110 South 100th East Ave, Suite 101, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74146.
Mr. Conditt was born at Durant, Oklahoma on December 12, 1948 to James Junior Conditt and Betty June (Witherspoon) Conditt. He grew up and received his education in Tulsa and Bartlesville, graduating from College High School in 1967. Following his graduation, he was employed locally until entering the United States Navy in 1969. He served as a corpsman in the Navy during Viet Nam and received his Honorable Discharge in 1973. He returned to Bartlesville and was employed as a firefighter with the Bartlesville Fire Department until his retirement as a Captain in 1997. He was then self-employed in light construction and handyman work. He was married to Jacquelyn Sue "Susie" (Cartmill) Kay on January 2, 1996 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. He was a member of the Northpoint Assembly of God Church in Dewey and he loved to fish and hunt.
Mr. Conditt is survived by his wife, Susie Conditt of the home, four children, Shelley Conditt Wilson and husband Joey of Bulverde, Texas, Steven Conditt of Bartlesville, Stephanie Conditt Featherston and husband Josh of Bartlesville and Heather Conditt of Bartlesville, one step daughter, Mundee Cartmill of Bartlesville, his mother, Betty Conditt of Bartlesville, a sister, Sue Rogers and husband Leroy of Caney, Kansas, a brother, Duane Conditt and wife Frankie of Bartlesville, and seven grandchildren, Nikki Martin, Bradley Wilson, Ryan Witter, Phoenix Sheikh, Taylor Conditt, Chris Featherston and Conner Featherston. He was preceded in death by his father.
