Jessie Javine Obituary
Jessie was born in Barnsdall, Oklahoma on September 25, 1930, the daughter of Gene and Myrtle (Lay) Buck. She was a graduate of Barnsdall High School. In 1946, Jessie married Raymond Javine of Barnsdall, Oklahoma. They made their home south of Pawhuska. Raymond preceded her in death in 2014.
Jessie held various jobs which include Teacher's Aid for Pawhuska Elementary School, a stint at Tri Ceta, as well as a bookkeeper for Lowry's Dress Shop in Pawhuska for many years. Although Jessie enjoyed her work, her true passion was as a mother, raising two sons, Mike of Pawhuska and Scott of Burbank, California.
Jessie loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. She was an extensive traveler, a voracious reader and captivating story teller. Jessie excelled at card games as well as Scrabble where few, if any, could ever beat her. Jessie's cooking was extraordinary as the ones lucky enough to enjoy it would always attest to. Jessie enjoyed and lived a long, full life.
In addition to Raymond, Jessie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wilbur Buck.
It was Jessie's wish to be cremated. Services are pending.
