Mary Ruth Puckett
Bartlesville - Mary Ruth Puckett, 75, of Bartlesville, died Tuesday afternoon, June 22, 2021, at her home.
Mary was born August 17, 1945, in Bartlesville, to Leonard Kendall and Edith Edna (Eschbaugh) Kendall. She was a lifelong resident of Bartlesville. Mary met and later married, Jacob "Jake" Puckett on July 9, 1966, at Bartlesville. Mr. Puckett preceded his wife in death, December 13, 1998. She worked as department secretary in the repro graphics department of Phillips Petroleum Company, until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Jane Phillips Sorority. She was an avid bowler, making the trip to compete in Springfield, Missouri, each year. Mary loved riding motorcycles, playing cards, especially pitch and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two children, Edna Johnson and Richard Puckett, both of Bartlesville; two sisters, her twin, Frances McElroy of Bartlesville and Sallie Meadows of Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Steven Cargill of Bartlesville and Logan Buster of Breckenridge, Colorado; and two great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jake; by her parents, Leonard and Edith Kendall; by a daughter, Paula Puckett and by three brothers, John, Joe and Tom Kendall.
Graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata, Oklahoma. Service and interment are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Bartlesville. Visitation hours are 1-6pm, Sunday.
