Michael was an Eagle Scout, obtaining this rank in 1985 from Troop 11 in Bartlesville. He was also one of two students from Bartlesville High School to attend a Oklahoma Highway Patrol weeklong camp in western Oklahoma his Jr. year of High School. Here he received an honor for his excellent marksmanship.
After graduating from Bartlesville High School in 1987, Michael attended Phillips University in Enid, OK. He graduated in 1991 with a degree in Finance.

One of God's greatest gifts to Michael, was the birth of his son, William Michael. He and William could be found most Saturday mornings enjoying donuts as part of their weekend routine. He also enjoyed snow skiing and camping with his family and friends. He loved to fish and target shoot at their family cabin on the south end of Grand Lake.
Michael loved to cook and eat. He loved to cook his family's favorite, steak, where he spent many years developing the perfect steak seasoning. He also looked forward to fall and winter when the weather would be perfect for a nice big pot of chili. He also loved dining out, trying new and unusual foods, but still loved the basic good ole American breakfast.
Michael was a devoted husband, father and son, where he was faithful in sharing his vast knowledge with his family. He never thought twice about being present with love, encouragement and support for all who sought it. His faith in God was always present in his everyday life, as he faithfully read his Bible everyday. Although a man of few words, there was rarely an unkind word ever spoken. His values, ethics and success in life, left nothing less than a man of great character.
Michael was an associate at Brewer, Worten, Robinett Law firm in Bartlesville, where he worked for the last 7 years. Prior to that, he was an attorney for Frasier, Fraiser and Hickman law firm in Tulsa. He also worked in accounting for Amaco Oil Company as well as Braden Winch.
Michael and Alice-Ann spent several years as youth ministers at their church, First Christian Church in Langley, OK. They also served together 2 summers as camp counselors at Chi-Rho camp at Camp Christian, in Chouteau, OK. After moving to Bartlesville, he was a member of the noontime Rotary Club, where he served on the board.
