Rev. Koonce officiated our wedding in 1983, the first in the "new" sanctuary at Washington First Baptist. Though we moved to Tx shortly thereafter, we never forgot what he taught us during our premarriage counseling. Now 33 years, 4 children, and 13 grandchildren later we are still grateful for his godly influence. God bless and comfort his loved ones!

Paul never wavered from his calling from God. He lived what he preached and brought many to the Lord. He will be sorely missed.
