Paul Macaluso Obituary

Paul Macaluso, 68, retired Plumber and Pipe Fitter, passed away at his home in the Osage Hills on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Paul was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 3, 1948 to parents Santo and Stella (Shalla) Macaluso. He was a member of the 1966 high school graduating class in Englishtown, New Jersey.
Following his graduation, Paul decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969.Paul trained as a plumber and a pipe fitter in many different oil refineries and power plants all across the Unites States. Paul was a true "one of a kind". He had a generous spirit, and he contributed to many causes and foundations such as the DAV, Easter Seals, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and many Veterans causes.
Paul had a real passion for nature and the outdoors. Prior to his declining health the last few years, Paul enjoyed hunting, gardening, and being outdoors. He loved watching the deer and feeding the birds. Travelling was another one of Paul's favorite things. He went on an Alaskan Cruise, and he especially loved seeing the National Parks such as Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore, along with several others.
Paul is survived by his sister, Marie Strnad and husband Ken of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Niece Jennifer Cotter of New Jersey; Nephew Michael Grishaber of New York; Cousins Julia Watters and husband Henry of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Louise Ingram of Edmond, Oklahoma, Margaret Sobel and husband Nathan of Norman, Oklahoma, Diane Pappa of New Jersey and Bonnie Amato of Florida.
He had a special bond and relationship with Michael Watters, who Paul considered to be a nephew. He is also survived by close friends Mary Taylor and Carl Fleming.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 3:00 PM, in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel, 1600 SE Washington Blvd in Bartlesville, with Reverend Mike Bush officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 4110 South 100th East Ave. Suite 101 Tulsa, Oklahoma 74146.
