June Wellner Obituary
She was born June 28, 1939 in Clay Center, Kan., to Carl and Ethel (Spark) Anderson. On March 25, 1961, she was united in marriage to Garner Paul Wellner, who preceded her in death. June was a homemaker and a long-time member of Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
June is survived by her children, son, Gary Wellner and wife, Cherri, of Blue Springs, Mo., son, Greg Wellner of Norfolk, Neb., daughter, Janet Dunkerley and husband, Scott, of Dallas, Texas, and son, Jason Wellner and wife, Ann, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; sister, Mary North of Topeka, Kan.; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Brown of Deepwater, Mo.; and grandchildren, Jacob, Mindi, Amanda, McKenna, John, William, Samuel, Steven and Brady.
Funeral services for June will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 N.W. R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO 64014. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial in Blue Springs Cemetery.

June and I shared many good times in the years we lived across the alley from one another in Clay Center. Lots of plans were made and secrets shared during those growing up years. We both decided to move to Kansas City in 1959 and shared a tiny apartment close to our place of employment. She introduced me to my husband in 1960. Even though we didn't see each other much we kept in touch through the years, sharing joys at the births of our children and grandchildren and sorrows when loved ones had to leave us. When my sister was so very ill a few years back and in the hospital in Topeka, June learned about it and drove just to be with me for a couple of hours and to offer her support. She was very giving, very caring, and I'm deeply saddened to have lost such a good friend. My deepest condolences to all the family. Pat (Webb) Moore
