I´m Karen´s son, David. I wanted to add a little bit to the obituary. Karen loved life. She loved her family. There were few things she liked more than sitting and visiting with them. She had many friends and enjoyed meeting new people. She enjoyed traveling the country, whether it be a trip to Olathe to see her brother Jim or driving across the country to Washington state with her beloved husband, Gordon. She loved genealogy and sharing her findings with her her daughter, Carla. She loved the crispness of fall, the joy of holiday gatherings with family. She loved the film Jeremiah Johnson, the book Pioneer Women, and Mexican food.
My heart is deeply saddened by her passing but my spirit is lifted in knowing that she will be remembered by such fine people.
