LARRY L. VEULEMAN Jr.

LARRY L. VEULEMAN, JR. Larry Lee Veuleman, Jr., 87, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. He was born on November 18, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of Larry Lee Sr. and Ethel Frances (Sallee) Veuleman. He was raised in Independence and attended William Chrisman High School. On June 15, 1968, he was united in marriage to Joyce Ballard at Hidden Valley Christian Church in Independence. Larry worked for Allis Chalmers, which is now AGCO, in Independence and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge No. 385 of Independence and a member of the United Steelworkers Local No. 13. He retired and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks near Climax Springs in 1994. In 2017, he downsized and moved to Lincoln, where he was a member of the Countryside Aerie Eagles Lodge No. 4286 of Lincoln. Larry loved to play pool with his buddies any chance he could, loved to go boating, and hanging out with his friends. He loved his blue grass pickin' and grinin' time with his sister Frankie. He enjoyed teaching his wife and kids to water ski and going on adventures in his dune buggy and atvs. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Veuleman of the home; son, Larry Lee "Butch" Veuleman III of Independence; daughter, Tami Hughes of Branson; grandchildren, Talenna Bradley, Larry Lee Veuleman IV, Leslie Stafferi, Leanna Masters, Nick Veuleman, Maddy Veuleman, and McKenzie Veuleman; great-grandchildren, Alexa, Brooke, Tyler, Larry Lee V, Aliyah, Bailey, Robbie, Leo, Salina, Alex, Josie, and Elliott; and nieces, Gloria, Connie, Carol and Dick, Kate and Larry, and his karaoke buddy, Chris and Tracy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Sr. and Ethel Veuleman, a sister and brother-in-law, Frances Pauline and Al Wiesner, a sister, Erma Veuleman, a niece, Barb, and a nephew, Joe. A graveside gathering for family and close friends will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence.
