Lorenzo Lucas Obituary
Lorenzo LeíMont Lucas, 24, of St. Joseph Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018.
Lorenzo was born April 3, 1993, to Herbert A. "Herby" Lucas III and Eunita "Nina" Miller.
He was a graduate of Blue Springs High School. He attended Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kansas, and Missouri Western State University. Lorenzo enjoyed football, basketball, music, scary movies, telling stories and jokes, but most of all he loved spending time with his son. Lorenzo will be remembered by his infectious smile and his chocolate smooth skin.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lennie Monroe and Constance Monroe; grandfather, Herbert A Lucas Jr.; aunts, Danielle Lucas and Shana Jackson; uncles, Kevin Lucas, James Miller II, Brian Lucas; cousins, DaíJour Lucas, Reco Robinson, baby Reco Robinson, Jaiair Strong, Serenity Faith Grayson; great-grandmothers, Esther Miller, Ruth Ewing, Augusta Jackson and Hattie Reed; great-grandfathers, Herbert A. Lucas Sr., Otis Hayes and James Davis.
Survivors include son, Lorenzo LeíMont Lucas Jr.; parents, Herbert "Herby" Lucas and Eunita "Nina" Miller; brothers, Raymond "Trai" Robinson, Herbert A. Lucas IV, Dyamon Durant (Chazza Durant), Jerrick L. Lucas, Skylar A. Lucas, Robert "Kevon" Durant and Raheem Durant; sister, Ebony Durant; grandparents, Donna E. Ginn, Rev. Louis Monroe and James D. Miller; great-grandmother, Mattie Lucas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Farewell services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Greater Jesus Tabernacle Church, St. Joseph. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, 5005 Frederick Ave., St. Joseph, MO 64506; 816-232-3366.
The family suggests memorial donations to the funeral home to help with the care of his son Lorenzo Jr. and funeral expenses.
