Michael Gerre Romine

Michael Gerre Romine, age 70, passed away in his home in Grain Valley, Missouri on January 8, 2019.

Born and raised in Raytown, Missouri, Mike was a 1966 graduate of Raytown South High School. Mike started his college education at Jackson County Community College before serving in the United States Air Force. He then continued his education at the University of Missouri Kansas City studying Psychology and the University of Central Missouri studying Sociology.

Mike was married to his devoted partner of 53 years, Sue (Adkins). Together they built a beautiful life and a big, boisterous, loving family who appreciates the funky side of life, just as Mike always did. His children and grandchildren were truly his pride and joy. Mike was known for his rockin' beard, great taste in music, and wise but playful demeanor. As a life-long learner, he prided himself on being an Eagle Scout in the tribe of Mic-O-Say, a history buff, and a true philosopher of life.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; their children Jessica Corse (husband, Ralph), Caitlin Romine, R Maxwell Romine, and Cydne Romine; brother, Tim Romine; three grandchildren, Ella, Maici, and Will; and many more family members, friends, and loved ones.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 13, from 2-4 p.m. at Aquaint Gathering (512 Capelle St., Grain Valley, MO).
