Vaiolini Iosua

Vaiolini (Pauga) Iosua Vaiolini (Pauga) Iosua, 75, Independence, Mo. passed away October 6, 2022, at her residence. Vaiolini was born August 13, 1947, in Letogo, Apia, Western Samoa. She had so many talents. She was a loving homemaker and seamstress. She was known for her cooking and baking especially in the Samoan community. She loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her six children, Laura Iosua, Maselina (Sione) Lauaki, Gese (Tommy Sa'o), Eleanor Iosua, Vaiolini (Joshua) Poli, and Olaea (Salataima) Iosua of Independence; three brothers, Tolouli Pauga of Australia, Ao Pauga of Canada and Fuga Pauga of New Zealand; and 19 grandchildren. Vaiolini was preceded in death by her husband, Nofoaiga Iosua in 2019, six brothers, four sisters and a grandchild, Suresa Iosua in 2007. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Independence Stake Center, 705 W Walnut St, Independence, MO 64050. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
