William Vaughan
William "Bill" Vaughan, 64, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on June 26, 2021. He was born on February 15, 1957, in Independence, Missouri, the son of late Lorraine and William Vaughan. Bill graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1975. He served in the U.S. Army as military police for six years and after honorable discharge was a sheet metal worker until joining the Independence Police Department where he served the community for twenty-seven years, retiring as a Captain. In his free-time, Bill loved golf and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Pete Bauman of Independence, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Josh Mullen of Odessa, Missouri; grandchildren, William, Makenna, and Madi; sister, Connie Rehm and husband Bill of Savannah, Missouri; and sister Vicki Stewart and husband Les of Knob Noster, Missouri. A visitation will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence at 9:00AM on Saturday, July 10th with the service following at 10:00AM. The burial will take place at Mt.
