XENIA — Jerry W. Steiner, 66, of Xenia, passed away Saturday October 27, 2018, at his residence. He was born June 8, 1952, in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of Arthur and Patsy Fletcher Steiner. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. In his early years, he was a Greene County farmer and was still a farmer at heart. He was happiest when he was helping those he loved by bringing them meals or mowing their lawns. He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly (Andy) Berryhill, a grandson, Jacob Dodson, all of Spring Valley, two sisters, Peggy Ison and Wanda L. Steiner, of Jamestown, two brothers, Steve Steiner and Mark A. Steiner, of Texas, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Roger Steiner. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at 10am, November 10, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. R. Michael Helling officiating. Private burial will be held in Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Diabetes Dayton, 2555 S. Dixie Dr., Suite 112, Dayton, OH, 45409, in his memory.
