Ethel "E.D." Dosso
March 19th, 1930 - November 7th, 2023
Born in Secaucus, NJ and lived in Fairfield, CT for over 45 years before she moved to Naples Florida.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Susan Dosso Prescott of Southport, CT and Judith Knibbs of Madison, CT and her amazing grandchildren: Douglas John Prescott of NYC, Clayton John Knibbs and Skylar Lauren Knibbs of Madison. She was predeceased by her husband John F. Dosso, her daughter Anne Marie Powell and her grandson, Justin John Powell.
She loved golf, playing the piano and swimming at the beach. She did volunteer work and was previously a decorator, who had the best taste level. She acted with the Naples Players and appeared in several Comedy Club performances and various talent shows.
E.D. loved to entertain – the more the merrier. The life of the party. Our family nicknamed her "Happy Hour Grandma". She was dressed from head to toe in cheerful colors and even drove a bright yellow mustang convertible. She was positive and optimistic with a spark that made her unforgettable. E.D. loved to laugh! She made friends wherever she went and had a zest for living!
One of her favorite quotes was "The person that you will spend the most time in your life with is yourself – so you better try and make yourself as interesting as possible".
Ethel W. Dosso was always interesting. Her legacy will be that she found fun and humor in everyday things and shared it with everyone she met. It was a privilege to call her mom, Grandma or Friend and to have her in our lives for so long.
In lieu of flowers, raise a glass of cheer and toast to a remarkable person who will be greatly missed. Her energy and passion for life will live on through her grandchildren.
Services for the family will be private.
The Happy Hour will be in heaven – where she belongs.
