Harvey Roseman Obituary

Roseman, Harvey Lester
Harvey Lester Roseman, age 92 of Fairfield, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Roseman was born in Detroit, MI., a son of the late Frederick and Anna Roseman, and lived in Fairfield since 1954. Mr. Roseman was a long time member of Congregation Beth El in Fairfield, CT and was founder of David Harvey Jewelers in Darien, CT and Norwalk, CT. A second-generation jeweler, in 1946 he joined the family business along with his parents Fred and Anna at Gleason's Jewelers in Bridgeport, CT. In 1963 Harvey and his wife Renée purchased David Pinkas Jewelers in Norwalk CT and re-opened the store as David Harvey Jewelers. Today the company is celebrating its fourth generation of family ownership, its 102nd year in business. Harvey was an active leader in the community in the City of Norwalk and the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. Harvey had a passion for the sport of horseracing. The excitement of handicapping the entrants, the post-time frenzy and of course having the winning numbers for that day's Trifecta. He loved his home on the beach and enjoyed family and friends who frequently visited. No one ever left his house wanting for anything as he was the perennial host. Mr. Roseman is survived by his beloved wife Renée Roseman, his devoted children, Jeffrey Roseman and his wife Debby of Fairfield, CT, David Roseman of San Francisco, CA, Kenneth Roseman of Memphis, TN, his cherished grandchildren, Benjamin Roseman and his wife Kayli, Drew Roseman and his wife Ashley, Emily Roseman Tillett and her husband Ty, Tori Roseman, Julia Roseman, Lydia Roseman and his treasured great grandchildren Zachary and Jacob. Services will take place on Monday (TODAY) December 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, CT, with interment following at Beth El cemetery on Reid Street in Fairfield. Donations may be made in his memory to Congregation Beth-El Fairfield, CT.

An interesting person has passed away Harvey enjoyed flipping his gold coin, a horse's head on one side, the rear end on the other side, Harvey often came into Stuart's Shoes just to flip, an enjoyable time was had by all, rest enjoy
