James Armitage

James William Armitage a resident of Shelton passed away peacefully at home on Thursday September 2, 2021. He was born on July 22, 1943 in Norwalk, CT to the late William and Margaret Armitage.
James graduated from Staples High School and then joined the United States Navy. After being discharged, he worked for Southern New England Telephone until his retirement. He was also the President of the H. Smith Richardson Men's Club and Chairman of the Fairfield Golf Commission.
James is survived by his wife Paula Edge Armitage of Shelton, his daughter Nicole and her husband Marco Urbani of Shelton, his son Michael and his wife Donna Armitage of Norwalk as well as three grandchildren, Marco Urbani Jr., Jordan Urbani and Dylan Ackerman. Also surviving is his brother William Armitage of Oxford, and his two sisters Gail Heath of PA and Betsy Auleta of FL.
