Dexter Locklear Obituary
Dexter E. Locklear
MAXTON — Dexter Earl (the taxman) Locklear, 61, Of 721 Onnie and Joe Road Maxton, departed this life on July 3, 2014, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Prospect United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ang and Anna Bullard.
Left to cherish his memory his son, Dexter Earl Locklear Jr. and twins, Sierra Caress Frizzell and James Frederick Tyler Locklear; a grandson, Chadon Sequoya Tyler Locklear; his mother Pauline Locklear; and his father, James Earl Locklear.
Dexter Earl was a 1971 graduate of Prospect High school where he excelled basketball and baseball. During his years Prospect Jaycees….Governor James B. Hunt Jr. honored Dexter Earl with the 1979 Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Prospect United Methodist Church.
Services entrusted to Revels Funeral Home Pembroke.
