I "met" Bill on the Internet over 20 years ago. How I wish I could have met him in person. He donated to our animal rescue in Wyoming. He was truly a hero to two-legged and four-legged lives. RIP, Bill

When Bill learned from Nancy Allen that I needed to find a good home for our Yorkie,, Nigel., he gladly volunteered to help even though we’d never met. What an honor it was to meet this kind, helpful gentleman. Nigel must’ve sensed Bill loved animals because he
immediately jumped on Bill’s lap and stayed there the remainder of his visit. We were enthralled with Bill’s incredible memory and the amazing stories he shared about his time in the war with his Yorkie named Smokey. Bill left and returned a few days later announcing he’d found a home for Nigel. And that he did. Nigel has a wonderful new master who has even trained him to be a therapy dog. We are so grateful for Bill, a man who gladly went out of his way to help someone else.

Bill, I treasure the past 18 years during which you afforded me the privilege of being your friend. You and your Yorkie Doodle Dandy, Smoky, have enhanced my life immeasurably. For that I again express my heartfelt appreciation. Now at this hour of parting, with profound admiration and respect for you, a true American and gentleman, I render a final salute.

Rest William, until you hear at dawn,
the low, clear reveille of God.

Thank you for your service to this nation. U.S. Army Air Force, WWII.

Now eternally reunited with family, friends and loved ones that have gone before. And Smoky.

Bill was a wonderful man, kind, considerate, smart, full of life and love. He was absolutely extraordinary. His presence on earth will greatly be missed. Thanks Bill for all the chats, and fun filled stories of you, your family and of course your four footers.

My sincere condolences to the Wynne family. I was one of the nurses who took care of him when he was in the hospital! He was so proud of the book he wrote he gave it to everyone who cared for him. I said” I will except this book only if you sign it for me” with his shaky frail hand he signed “Yorkie Doodle Dandy” I will cherish this treasure for always. Jolene
