Adela A. DeGuzman

FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Adela Armas DeGuzman, 81, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012, in Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg. Mrs. DeGuzman was born Dec. 16, 1930, in Malasiqui Pangasinan, Philippines. She was the daughter of the late Pablo Tulagan and Prisca Armas Tulagan. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Camilo Macaranas Sr.; a granddaughter, Michelle Cornell; and a great-grandson, "R.J." Witt; along with two brothers and nine sisters in the Philippines. She is survived by her husband, Bernabe DeGuzman Sr. of the home; five daughters, Rosita Dyck and husband Nick of Virginia Beach, Va., Linda Cornell and husband Larry of Norfolk, Va., Mary Ann Boyd and husband Douglas of Chesapeake, Va., Donna Walden and husband James of Easton, Pa., and Liza DeGuzman and husband Marc of Fayetteville; four sons, Camilo "Sonny" Macaranas and wife Victoria of Kill Devil Hills, Ricardo "Ricky" Macaranas and wife Deborah of Norfolk, David Macaranas and wife Elizabeth of Chesapeake and Bernabe "Bing" DeGuzman of Norfolk; a sister, Maura "Maring" Cerezo of the Philippines; 22 grandchildren, Camilo, Nickie, Christina, Christopher, Jamila, Heather, Sonny Boy, Kristin, Sean, Matthew, Annaliese, Jack, Chistopher, Tiffany, James, Nicole, Brandon, Anjewel, Jordan, Michael, Angie and Jennifer; 31 great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brittney, Sabian, Asia, Kiara, Kiante, LJ, Lawren, Lorenzo, Kailee, Kennedy, Noah, Louie, Moses, Noel, Alonzo, Andrew, Kayla, Wesley, Eli, Janelle, Mikey, Priscilla, Lil Ricky, Elizabeth, Mark, Katie, Kelsie, Jayden, Jacob and Orion, and a great-great-grandson, Keshon; and numerous extended family and friends. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be conducted at noon Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at St. Ann Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dino Besinga officiating. Interment will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake. Services entrusted to Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
