Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Gillespie was my favorite teacher at Cleveland Elementary School in NW DC. She made sure that her students were included in everything that the school had to offer. If it wasn't for Mrs. Gillespie, I would not have participated in/on the Spelling Bees, Concerts, Glee Club, Drill Teams/ Parades, Safety Patrol Team and many other events that took place at the school. She also kept us busy over the weekends by giving us papers to check and classroom pets to care for when school was closed. I always thought about Mrs. Gillespie and wondered how she was doing over the years. I could always close my eyes and remember her spirit and beauty, especially her smile. She was a wonderful person with a beautiful heart and a fantastic role model. She loved her students. I will miss her dearly. To the family - May God Bless each of you - Anita King

My most heartfelt sympathies are extended to the Gillespie/McNeill Family at the calling home of Barbara. Words will never replace the sadness that comes with losing a love one, but memories will always be the mirror to look in when you think of her. May God bless all the families and friends who knew and loved her and may you always have respite in knowing that God has dispensed an Angel to be with you always. R.I.P. Barbara!
