Manfred Klein Obituary

FAYETTEVILLE - Manfred Jakob Klein, 78, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. He was born on April 14, 1940 to Mr. Jakob and Johanna Klein in Bonn, Germany. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Diane Klein of Fayetteville; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Jeff Smith of Clinton; son, Michael Klein of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Lauren and Sean Smith, Joanna, Brieanna, Kyndall and Jakob Klein; and his mother, Johanna Klein. He was predeceased by his father Jakob Klein. After being born in Germany his family emigrated to the U.S. in 1952 to Chicago, IL. He worked at Westinghouse Electric, Eaton, Cuttler Hammer and Siemens. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Christus Victor Lutheran Church located at 1201 Hope MIlls Road, Fayetteville. The family will receive visitors in the fellowship hall after the service. Services Provided by Reeves Funeral Home, Hope Mills, NC.
