FAYETTEVILLE - Lt. Col. Michael Benjamin, 48, of 6905 Bone Creek Drive, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009. Services: Funeral, noon Monday, Redeeming Love Family Church. Burial, Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake. Visitation: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Survived by: Wife, Debra; sons, Brandon and Daniel; daughter, Tiera; father, James; mother, Cynthia Jones; brother, Marcel; maternal grandmother, Katherine Williams. Wiseman Mortuary of Fayetteville.

To the Family,
My prays are with Mike's wife and children. Mike and I attended school togather in New Bern NC. After I moved to Virginia, I lost track of Mike and was suprised to see him again at Ft Harrison in Indianapolis Ind. Mike was classy guy and nice person. He will be missed and never forgotten.

My families' thoughts and prayers go out to you in your time of loss. I enjoyed singing with and, being a Deacon with Mike. He was a good guy, a great husband and father and, a great soldier. We had good times at BP. We will all miss him also. We pray God's comfort for you and your family.
