Rosa M. Darden

FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Rosa Mae McHargue Darden, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Paul Darden; brother, Frank McHargue; and sister, Ruth Forney. Mrs. Darden was a member of Gardners United Methodist Church of Fayetteville. She enjoyed her Thursday morning bible study group, her bridge club and attending social events. Mrs. Darden, affectionately called "Roro," was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She is survived by a daughter, Paula Darden Willey and husband, Tom, of Washington; a brother, Richard McHargue of Valdosta, Ga.; a sister, Doris Cassanova of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Susan Willey Pintuff and husband, Jason, of Raleigh and Gretchen Willey Beasley and husband, Troy, of Wilmington; a great-granddaughter, Lily Mae Pintuff; a great-grandson, Reid Thomas Pintuff; two special nieces, Mika McClure of Fayetteville, and Hayley Henderson of Clayton; and many other beloved family and friends. The family received friends Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Gardners United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
