Lynn Haddock Obituary

Lynn Berkley Haddock, a "Papa" loved by all, passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, 2024, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., at the age of 89 with his family by his side. His soul transcended into God's loving arms after a routine stroll through the Great Smoky Mountains.
Lynn was born on January 26, 1935, in Fernandina Beach, Fla., son of the late Henry Clyde Haddock and Anna Louise Haddock, and was the youngest brother to late siblings Marion and Henry Haddock.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Theresa; loving daughter, Teri; caring son-in-law, Greg; one remarkable grandson, Pierson; and many extended friends who thought of him as their extended father.
Lynn was an Air Force veteran, a Master Mason of Amelia Island Lodge #47 in Florida, a Shriner of the Scottish Rite Morocco Temple and a member of Saint Boniface Episcopal Church in Mequon, Wis. His hobby was his family and will be forever remembered for his overflowing warm hugs, his savory barbecue, his orange and blue true Gator spirit and his matter of fact, easygoing quality. Lynn loved the great outdoors and explored every continental state in the United States camping with his family. We are grateful for Lynn's (Papa's) love and devotion, thriving as a giver to enhance the lives of everyone around him.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date with family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Shriners Children's Hospital located at 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Lynn was a classmate of my husband´s He always called to check on him often. He seemed to know when Bob was in hospital or not doing well after his stroke and would call randomly. What a wonderful man and human being. My sincere condolences to his family.

We were so heartbroken to hear Lynn has passed away. He always called to check on Bob and when I left messages and didn´t hear we knew something was wrong. Looked up his name and saw that he had passed. Our sincere condolences to the family.

Theresa, Teri, Greg, Pierson and Joe, words cannot express my sorrow for the loss of such a wonderful man, person, friend, brother in law, or confident. The tears flow still from me. I'm sorry I didn't travel back to the USA in September to be able to get that one last hug, the last hearing of his laugh, so many things. I can't even begin to know what you are going through losing a husband, father, grandfather, father in law, brother in law... I just know how I feel and although I know I'm no longer an official member of the family, I was a family with you all for many years and my pain in him leaving is probably just as strong. Love to you all... you're all still my family!
