Jerry Lee Windisch, 73, of Wauseon passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Mr. Windisch was born in Wauseon on Nov. 6, 1941, the son of the late Clifford and the late Orpha (Mock) Windisch. On Sept. 14, 1968, he married Donna (Maust) Windisch, and she survives.
Prior to his retirement, he worked in the construction industry, specializing in road construction and cement finishing. He was a member of Laborers Local #500 and Cement Masons #886. He attended Crossroads Evangelical Church, was a member of the Fulton County Sportsmen's Club, and enjoyed traveling, golfing and "shooting the breeze" while drinking coffee with friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and attending their sporting events.
He is also survived by his daughters, Jodi (Eric) Sauber and Jen (Troy) Banister, both of Wauseon; grandchildren, Grant, Camden, and Trenton Sauber and Oliviah and Jaden Banister; his brother, George (Arlene) Windisch; his mother-in-law, Lodema Maust; his sister-in-law, Sandy Sauder; and a special niece and nephew, Mike (Pam) Sauder and Michelle (Dallas) Rupp.
He was also preceded in death by his twin sister, Joan Borton; father-in-law, Walt Maust; and brother-in-law, Chuck Sauder. Jerry also leaves behind his faithful companion, Reagan.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in the chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon, with Pastor Matt Boyers officiating.
Friends may visit with the family 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in the church chapel.
The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sara's Garden, The Seeing Eye Dogs of America or The Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
