My grandmother had style - as my mom, Bonnie, and sister, Marisa, went through pictures of her this week, I was struck by her flair that began in her youth and carried into her 80's. She had the quintessential 40's style. Her hats - always a source of joy. A quiet, happy memory of my childhood was painting her nails with my sister. In her last moments, I was not surprised to see she had manicured, glossy maroon nails. Most impressive of all, Grandma bravely welcomed her time with grace, dignity, and strength. I am beyond inspired to embrace life with the same flair, grace, and courage. In loving memory.

Having known Hazel for most of my life, I am most appreciative of her genuine ability to make one feel like she was indeed happy to see you. I will cherish her beautiful smile and give thanks that she now enjoys the place Christ had prepared just for her! May her family and friends be comforted that for her, all pain and sorrow have ended, and she delights in the presence of her Lord!

Hazel and her hats. My daughter Alice gave Coco a pink hat.I enjoyed the short bit of time I spent with her. Here's hoping Hazel has a good hat in heaven.
