James T. Sievert

Fond du Lac - James T. Sievert, 68 of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2021 at Hospice Home of Hope after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born April 6, 1952 in Fond du Lac, the son of Walter and Ellen (Icks) Sievert. On January 11, 1980 he married Nancy Mangas at the Holy Trinity Greek Church in Fond du Lac.

Jim attended Goodrich High School and worked as a welder for NAFCO International for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two children, his son Michael (Amy) Sievert of Fond du Lac and his daughter Nicole (Jason) Mack of Hortonville. Four grandchildren, David and Aleah Sievert and Colin and Calix Mack; his sister Sue (Don) Wollersheim; his nephew Travis (friend Calli) Wollersheim and niece Tara (Tim) Schaefer. His mother Ellen. His father-in-law James Mangas, sister-in-law Patti (Robin) Eder and Jennifer Boardman, brother-in-law Peter (Kelly) Mangas and his dog Bella.

Preceding him death were his father Walter, his brother Michael Sievert, his grandparents and his mother-in-law Joan.

Jim's family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Cancer Center, to the nurses at Hospice Home of Hope, to Kristy H and Emily B who helped him this past year. Also a special thank you to Chris and Greg Stubbe, Tim and Char Grahl and Pete Rice.

Very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a good friend of my brother Tom and myself since we were old enough to walk. Always there when you needed him and many times when you didn’t. Jim was one of the nicest people I have every known. My sympathies to Nancy and the Sievert family.
