My condolences to Joe's loved ones. I met Joe in the crazy times of college life in Madison. He added so much laughter to the stresses of the college grind. For those memories I will be forever grateful to have called him friend.

I will always remember Joe most fondly. His sense of humor, fairness, equal treatment of all helped to make high school not only bearable, but fun. Everyone was Joe's friend and his inclusive spirit was a gift. He will be missed.

My prayers are with you and your family. I don't think I've seen Joe since high school but we spent a lot of time together in home room classes, both with last name starting with "F". Joe was a good guy back then, glad to hear that never changed. May your memories bring comfort.

A very sad day. My condolences to Jeanette and the entire Fowler family. The memory story shared of Joe on this page is beautifully written and so very true of him.
I have known Joe since grade school. Joe was the type of guy that always made you laugh and you could always get a laugh from. You could say anything to him and his energy and sense of humor made you feel good. I have many memories of Joe. He was my first "home friend" that moved to Minneapolis. It was so cool to have a buddy in my city. He was the commissioner of our first fantasy Football league. Believe it or not he would recap the week manually and send each of us results when completed.
I didn't see Joe much over the past 10 years and life takes you in different directions but when you met he would seek you out and very intently talk to you and catch up on your life. He had this way of always making you feel special.
In 2014 my dear daughter past away. I had not seen Joe for several years. Joe and Jeanette drove 6 hours to attend Hannas service.
Joe was the type of guy that you trusted to always be your friend regardless of time past or distance of travel.
My memory of Joe will last a lifetime.

I will always know you as Joe Cool...a cool brother of my Uncle. We did not know each other well, but we shared a laugh and a story. Those small moments in life, brief crossing of paths with amazing souls, is what memories are made of. Our Love and Blessings to all of you who loved Joe. May your brightest memories shine forever...
