Benzing, John "Jack"

John B. "Jack" Benzing, III, 68, of Campbellsport went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born Oct. 2, 1948 in Watertown, the son of John B. and Helene M. (nee Wieczorek) Benzing, Jr. On Oct. 16, 1982, Jack married Cynthia M. Kohlmann at St. Michael's Church in Dotyville. Jack worked in construction as a carpenter for himself and various construction crews. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Parish and the Campbellsport Fire Department and was also an EMT with the ambulance service. Jack was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and a youth soccer and baseball coach. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife Cynthia, his son Jonathan (Sarah) Benzing of Manitowoc, his daughters Kristin Benzing (special friend Shea) of Eden and Ashley Benzing (special friend Spencer) of Campbellsport, his brothers Michael Benzing of Eagle River, Mark Benzing (special friend Dawn) of Campbellsport and Claude (Pam) Benzing of Kewaskum, his sisters Bernadine (Larry) McClarran of West Bend, Rosemary (Bernard) Sarauer of Campbellsport and Annette Wenzel of Wausau, his mother-in-law Dolores Kohlmann (Bob), his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Nancy and Steve Schmitz, Roseann and Scot Schumacher, Dan and Nancy Kohlmann, Kevin and Chris Kohlmann, Susie and Don Liebe, Debbie and Mark Eggers, Tim and Jodi Kohlmann and Tom and Julie Kohlmann, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law Alfred Kohlmann.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1st from 3 to 7 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport and on Wednesday Nov. 2nd from 9 until a prayer service at 10 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 2nd at 10:30 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and burial will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Armstrong.
