Joyce Berigan-Hansen Obituary

Berigan-Hansen, Joyce

Joyce (Bryden) Berigan-Hansen, 75, died July 4, at the Sunnyhill Healthcare Nursing Home, in Madison, Wis., after suffering a long battle with Alzheimer Dementia.

Joyce was the daughter of Bernard Rowland "Bunny Berigan." She dedicated her life to her father's music legacy.

Joyce and her late husband, Ken, were the driving force behind the annual "Bunny Berigan Festival," held each May in Fox Lake, Wis., which is still an ongoing and featured event, after 35 years.

She is survived by four sons, Robert Jr. (Linda) Bryden in Elizabethtown, Pa., Joseph (Kellie) Bryden in Richmond, Virginia, James, husband of Noriko Bryden in Marietta, Ga., and Peter (Grace) Bryden; two grandchildren, one step-grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death her husband, Dr. Ken Hansen.

SERVICES: Interment of her ashes will take place at Annunciation Cemetery (formally St. Mary's Cemetery) in Fox Lake, on Thursday, July 28, at 1 pm.

Memorial donations can be made to: Harriett O'Connell Historical Room, c/o Fox Lake Public Library, 117 W. State St., Fox Lake, Wis. 53933. (This room houses the Bunny Berigan memorabilia.)
