LeRoy Peter Priesgen, age 78 of 314 Church St. Theresa, WI, formerly of N7502 Doyle Rd. Theresa passed away November 16, 2013, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for LeRoy will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 20, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at St. Theresa Memorial Garden in Theresa with graveside military rights conducted by the Miller Guelig American Legion Post #270. A luncheon will follow the burial at St. Theresa School Hall in Theresa.

LeRoy was born on November 18, 1934, in the Holy Hill area to Edward and Irene (Meyer) Priesgen. He was a graduate of Hartford High School. He was united in marriage to Mary Esser on August 6, 1960, at St. Catherine's in Mapleton, WI. He was employed through the years at Asplundh Tree Trimming Company, Gehl Company, Seneca Foods, and John Deere until he retired. He was also a part time farmer and enjoyed raising a variety of farm animals. LeRoy also loved the outdoors while gardening. He liked tinkering in his shed while refurbishing old machinery and will be fondly remembered for being a Mr. Fix-It, who took pride in his craftsmanship. He also took great pride in taking care of his yard and building bird houses where he could enjoy watching and feeding the birds.

He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa. LeRoy was also a veteran of the National Guard where he served his country in the 32nd Red Arrow Division.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary of Theresa. His children, Susan (Malcolm) Fink of rural Theresa, Steven (Cindy Van Beek) Priesgen of Glendale, AZ., and Sharon 'Babes' (Tom) Batzler of Theresa. His son in law, Dale Lichtenberg of rural Mayville. His brother, Jerome (Maryann) Priesgen of Allenton . His brother in law, Gene Uhl of Rhinelander. His sister in law, Nellie Priesgen of Hartford. His 5 grandchildren, Luke Fink, Tiffany (Troy) Collins, Bethany (Special Friend Jesse Weber) Fink, Heidi Lichtenberg, and Mark Lichtenberg. His great granddaughter, Madison Fink- Tuttle and his special furry friend, 'Woof - Woof'. Further survived nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Sandy in 2009, sister Doreen Scholtes-Uhl, and brothers- Edward and Eugene Priesgen.
