Margaret Schlueter Obituary

Margaret Esther Ann Schlueter (nee Reich), 97, passed away at the home of her daughter, Audrey Roeder, in Fond du Lac, on May 28, 2012.

She was born on July 30, 1914, to William and Martha (Zahn) Reich in Watertown.

She attended grade school at St. Mark's Lutheran School; she graduated from Watertown High School in 1932.

She married Robert F. Schlueter on Oct.30, 1937, at St. Mark's Lutheran church.

She transferred membership to St. John's Lutheran Church shortly after her marriage.

She had an interesting work history. At an early age she started stripping tobacco and rolling cigars. She then worked as a clerk for FW Woolworth, provided home childcare services, candled eggs, and was a longtime clerk at Mallach Pharmacy.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Mariko) Schlueter of Biloxi, Miss., two daughters, Carol (Don) Davis of Alma, Colo., and Audrey Roeder of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Anthony and Linda Schlueter, Mark, Paul and Matt Roeder, Joel and Mike Davis, and Jennifer Davis Rogers; 13 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lucille, and her beloved husband, Robert, who died in March 1943.

SERVICES: Funeral services for Margaret will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown, on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rodney Warnecke officiating. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.

VISITATION: Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, the ROC of Watertown, or St. Agnes Hospital Hospice Hope in Fond du Lac.
