Mary Jane Jaber

1932 to 2011

Mary Jane Jaber passed away peacefully and went home to our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 18th, 2011, at the age of 79.

She was born on April 25, 1932, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Horace and Florence Hall.

On May 17, 1952, she married Eugene Jaber in Camden, S.C.

Mary was born with a natural love and gift for music. At the age of four she gave her first recital.

She attended Fond du Lac High School where she performed in many musicals and plays.

Mary then continued her career in music and formed the "Mary Jaye Trio" in 1961. She moved to Milwaukee in 1986, and worked for many years at Reinhart, Boerner, and Van Deuren SC. In 1987, Mary became a certified Christian Counselor through the Milwaukee Outreach Center where she enjoyed volunteering and serving in outreach ministries. She was a member of Weatherstone Church in New Berlin.

Mary was the loving and devoted Mother to Cindy Frank, Cheri Jaber, Peg (George) Gogonelis, and the late Penny Emanuel; the proud grandmother of Steve, Mike (Sheena), Tony, and Aron Frank, Katie (Jason) Rusch, and Josh Emanuel; and the great-grandmother of Hailey, Emily, and Cloe Rusch. Mary is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Betty and Bets Hall; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Penny; and her brothers, Robert and Howard Hall.

I'm very sorry, Cindy, Cheri and family for this difficult loss. Mary J - Your voice was an inspiration to us all. The first time I heard you sing, you sang this song and it will be forever yours, in my heart. Whenever I play it, I will think of you.

"Somewhere there's music
How faint the tune
Somewhere there's heaven
How high the moon
The darkest night would shine
If you would come to me soon
Until you will, how still my heart
How high the moon"

Cindy and Family:

Mary was a great "second" Mom to me while we were teenagers. I'll never forget the chats the three of us had after school. And I always loved listening to her play and sing. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed. May memories keep her in our hearts!

Mary was such a grand lady. I loved her so much. I missed her at work when she retired. She gave me such wonderful advice and more than one lecture about the music business! My thoughts and prayers are with Mary and her family.
