Robert C. Cravillion, age 87, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord Jesus on March 21, 2016 at Elder Lodge, Neenah. He was born in Fond du Lac on October 16, 1928 to the late David and Nathalie (Flaherty) Cravillion. He graduated high school, and then served his country in the Army National Guard. Bob began his career path at Waupun State Prison, as a guard, he then became a State Trooper for the state of Wisconsin, and finally, he worked for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue until his retirement in 1989. Bob had a green thumb; he enjoyed gardening but also, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and playing cards. He especially enjoyed caring for his family, he was a gentle giant, and will be remembered for the stories he read to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Susan Vandertie, Pam (Cal) Behnke, Mary Jo (Jim) Ehrhardt, Joanne (Terry) VandenHeuvel, Laurie (Dave) Seebruch and Steve (Darlene) Cravillion, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his two sisters; JaLaine (Jim) Karl and Diane Robison, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sylvia and brother in law, Bruce Robison. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W Marquette St. Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. "Dad, thank you for being so loving and strong, and making us always feel safe. You are highly respected and dearly treasured by all of your children and grandchildren. You have left us with so many gifts of character and we will love you forever"

Thank you to the staff at Elder Lodge and the Hospice nurses for the loving care given to Robert.

My deepest sympathies to the family on your loss. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory because those who pass on are precious in his eyes. (Psalms 116:15)

R.I.P. Bob. My warm regards to Bob's family. After high school, I worked with Bob back in late '69 & '70's at Dept of Revenue. He always kept our large staff of employees fully entertained with his wonderful humor! He was one very special co-worker. Prayers to his family.
