Robert Langenberg Obituary
Robert W. Langenberg, 93, of Cape Coral FL, died peacefully with his family at his side on August 13th, 2017.
He was born May 2, 1924 in Stevens Point WI to Vera and John Langenberg. He later moved to Fond du Lac and graduated high school there. He proudly served in the Navy in the Aviator division as an airplane mechanic during WWII. Upon his discharge he served his apprenticeship in Pattern Making in Milwaukee WI. He married Eleanore Silah in 1948. He opened his own businesses, Perfect Patterns, in Appleton WI, and eventually Perfect Patterns South in Cape Coral FL, both of which he owned and operated until 1985. He married Patricia Rosenthal in 2001.
Bob was hardworking and was always willing to be there for any family member or friend who needed a hand. He enjoyed a long retirement and mostly good health, taking up many things he hadn't had time for such as scuba diving, boating, RVing, motorcycling, and traveling.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers John and Richard and his first wife, Eleanore.
Bob was an incredible husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed those who survive him: his wife, Patricia; Sam, his loyal dog; his daughter, Sandy (Fred) Panzer and their daughters, Alyssa and Michelle. He is also survived by Patricia's children, Deb (Sonny) Hood of Colorado Springs, CO; Jim (Joan) Rosenthal, Dan (Carla) Rosenthal and Donna (Cub) Freund of Fond du Lac (St. Peter), WI, and Cindy (Jerry) McKay of Cape Coral, FL, and their families and grandchildren.
A mass will be held at St. Kathryn Drexel Parish 1922 SW 20th Avenue, Cape Coral FL on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. The family will have a brief committal service at Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum, in Fond du Lac, WI on Saturday, September 9, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers FL 33908 or visit www.hopehcs.org.
His family would like to thank Hope Hospice, Hope Palliative Care, Hope Private Duty, and Hope Parkinson's staff that assisted his wife, Pat, in Bob's care the last several years.

My condolences to your family at the loss of your husband and father. My name is Chuck Schroeder, my father Alfred M. Schroeder was a long time friend of Bob, from the night they spent on Lake Winnebago together in a sinking sailboat to joining the Navy. My father was a crew member on PBY plane #11. I believe the same planes that Bob maintained. I remember my father going to Florida when the elder George Bush was president and visiting you Dad and for months after he was so happy that he was able to spend time with his old friend. I would like to come and pay my respects on September 9th but the paper does not state a time. if you could please let me know the time I would truly appreciate it. [email protected]
