Steven Putz Obituary
Fond Du Lac - Steven Walter Putz "Putzy" passed away peacefully after a short struggle with cancer at age 64 on August 11, 2018, days shy of his August 14th birthday. He was born in Fond Du Lac, WI to Lloyd and Virginia Putz.
Putzy filled more years of life in his time here than he was given. He got great satisfaction out of helping others become better versions of themselves and valued education and self development. He truly had a heart for picking up on peoples needs and selflessly gave of his time and talents.
Much more will be said and shared at his Celebration of Life party held Saturday, September 1st, at the Lakeside Park Pavilion in Fond du lac from 11:00 am-8:00 pm. A Military send off will be performed at 1:00. Food and beverages will be provided. Please RSVP to the Steven Putz Facebook event page or [email protected].
Those he left behind include his mother, Virginia, his siblings Sandy Buell, (Bob) Dick, (Bev) Sue Hoaglin, Lynn Miller, (Ed) and Bruce, (Lisa) his son Benjamin, (Andrea) his adored grandchildren, Haven and Asher, his stepchildren, Jenny Lucas, Jill Balgie, Mike Balgie, and Beth Raaths, his 'surrogate' children, Lacey, Stacey, and Casey, many 'surrogate' grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Putzy used to take me to the YMCA everyday. He was the boss of the building me and my mom , Casey(who is mentioned in the obituary), lived in. He would come at around noon everyday with a warm smile on his face asking if i was ready. no knowing how to swim I would say "lemme get my floaties!" We would blast music and cruise down the streets. When we got there the slide would be open and id go down, him waiting at the bottom. In the 8 years ive known (im ten now) it has been the best. -Layla Pauliot, Daughter of Casey Liedke.
